We are aware that a number of members travel some distance to take part in Club sessions on the Eden at the Sands and can be disappointed if they find the session cancelled when they arrive. By using the following link, you can check the river level at the Sands gauge, before you come down Whilst not an exact science because of timing differences and prevailing weather conditions, it is reasonable to assume if the level is not more than around 1.25 it should be paddelable, above this it is probably flat at the rapid
